Hurricane Ike has now been upgraded to a Category 3 (again) and is set to approach south Florida by Monday. I’m in south Florida and not exactly thrilled to see a Category 3 heading our way but I’m more concerned that Hurricane Ike seems to be heading towards Louisiana. Not cool, Ike. Not cool at all.

Facts:
1. An image of Walter Reed Middle School in North Hollywood, California was put on the jumbo screen behind John McCain during his RNC speech.
2. There was no apparent reason that any reporter could find for the picture being used other than the fact that it shares part of its name with a famous military treatment center.
3. Someone in the McCain campaign screwed up their Google image search. Campaign manager Rick Davis admitted it was a mistake at RNC after parties and blamed it on ad man Fred Davis.
