Hurricane Ike is back down to a Category 1 storm and will be moving on from Cuba into the Gulf of Mexico shortly. It is expected to gain some strength there and continue its course towards its predicted landing point somewhere along the Texas-Mexico border early Saturday morning.

One of my goals this week is to look into what Joe Biden’s been doing since he was announced as Barack Obama’s V.P. choice. He popped up for the Democratic National Convention and has done speaking engagements but there hasn’t been a major news story topic surrounding him since he was nominated. I discovered Drink and Dream through Dave’s old site, Object D’Crave. Drink and Dream’s main products are their window shades. The shades come individually or in pairs and can be custom fitted for windows with widths between 17 and 36″ and lengths of up to 70″. The original illustrations are digitally printed on 12 oz. vinyl. Color combinations are also customizable for some of the styles.

Taking up a good argument, the Obama campaign has a new campaign ad that criticizes the McCain-Palin ticket’s false “maverick” claims and the numerous lies Sarah Palin has already been caught in. This is a great attack ad because the hitting points are quickly becoming well known facts. Even the Wall Street Journal has criticized the campaign for their lies over the Bridge to Nowhere.
