This year’s seemingly endless primary season caused me to whack my head into my desk enough times that I probably did minor cranial damage so I can’t fully blame former president Bill Clinton for seeming dense in this morning’s interview with ABC.

Sarah Palin was interviewed by Katie Couric. Palin did so badly that I felt embarrassed for her. It is staggeringly obvious that she memorized about ten paragraphs worth of party-speak and is great when she can just recite that information. But if she’s pressed beyond her prepared talking points, she fumbles. She remains ill prepared, under informed and lacks the mental dexterity to maneuver the conversation where she wants it to go.

My sister and I were getting nostalgic about old cartoons the other day. For some reason, my sister, brother and I saw many cartoons that everyone else missed somehow. In particular, we saw many cartoon shorts, in the 5 to 15 minute range, and odd cartoon movies we’d watch late at night. One of the best things about YouTube is that we can find videos of these old cartoons, and verify that they did exist, and my family is not under some sort of group delusion.
