Link Roundup: So Much Economic News, So Little Time Before the Depression

I’ve given up on writing a post every time something happens in regards to the economy. I’ll link to the latest that’s out there with the simple summary of “We’re in a handbasket, heading towards the Great Depression Part 2: The Revenge”.

A $700 billion slap in the face  Paul Krugman on why the bailout still isn’t a good idea and why Paulson (and now Bernanke)’s explanations for their control demands fall short.

McCain to ’suspend campaign,’ calls for first debate to be delayed McCain will suspend his campaign tomorrow morning to head back to Washington and focus on the economy. I’m sure the move has nothing to do with the fact that Obama is polling better than him in the aftermath of the Wall Street crisis. Or the fact that the press has had it with the Palin shenanigans.

The timing of McCain’s campaign suspension is also questionable since it came after Obama asked him to participate in a joint statement on the Treasury bailout plan.
