Ike Meets GITMO: This hurricane season isn’t being particularly kind to Haiti and Cuba. Hurricane Ike was approaching Cuba late yesterday as a Category 3 storm with winds of 120 miles per hour. Hurricane warnings (which basically mean “you should duck now”) were listed for several regions, including Guantanamo. As Monkeyfister says, what kind of recourse could be taken by family members if their GITMO inmate loved one is killed in the storm?
