If you’d like to submit a Mix Tape, email Brandy at mouemagazine@gmail.com with “Mix Tape” in the subject line.
This week’s Mix Tape comes from Adam York Gregory, the creator of The Flowfield Unity, my favroite web comic. He’s talented. He’s clever. He’s from Lancaster. Enjoy!
So I’ve made a mixtape… the theme is a bit obscure I’m afraid. All of these songs remind me of my home town, Lancaster, some because of their lyrics, others because I have irreversibly attached them to my memories based there.
Hopefully this shouldn’t be too unpleasant to listen too as well:
1. I Ain’t No Miracle Worker- The Brogues
2. Making Plans for Nigel- XTC
3. Reasons to be Cheerful- Ian Dury and the Blockheads
4. Grounds for Divorce- Wolf Parade
5. Ghost Town- The Specials
6. Bukowski- Modest Mouse
7. Lost in the Supermarket- The Clash
8. Surrender- Cheap Trick
9. A.M. 180- Grandaddy
10. The Jessica Numbers- The New Pornographers
11. Fell Off the Floor Man- Deus
12. End of the Movie- Cake
