John McCain is opposed to the Federal Marriage Amendment, seeing marriage equality as an issue best left at state level rather than a matter for the federal government. Sarah Palin disagrees:

The Day of the Dead is celebrated on November 1st and 2nd (so, technically the Days of the Dead) in Mexico and in Mexican American communities. It’s a celebration in remembrance of the dead. Family and friends build altars, pray and take gifts to the graves of their deceased loved ones. 
And the decorations for the Day of the Dead are almost festive looking, with bright colors and cartoon-like motifs.

It seems like just last week that Colin Powell was persona non grata in many sectors of the left for his participation in the runup to the Iraq War. Okay, actually, it was just last week. But now that Colin Powell has endorsed Obama, it’s all good, right?
Erm.
Powell’s endorsement is powerful as far as endorsements go, but bluntly, that isn’t very far. Endorsements make everyone feel warm and fuzzy for a little bit, but they’re notoriously poor in terms of delivering those actual “vote” things that win an election, and …
