Barack Obama’s chances of winning the election are strong enough that Republicans have been scurrying about for the past week preparing their resumes, pointing fingers and making up excuses that can be used after McCain’s loss to explain why it wasn’t really his (or the party’s) fault.

Halloween’s on a Friday this year, meaning there are even more opportunities to get drunk off of Pumpkin Spice Martinis and hit on people when you don’t even know what they look like.  Luckily, MSN has put together guides to Guys and Gals costumes so you’ll know how to best approach someone.  Unfortunately, it doesn’t offer a lot of different ideas, so my husband will never know what my slutty Abraham Lincoln costume says about me.

What drew me to Nancy Farmer’s work initially was why I was so interested in one of the pieces I featured last week, and that is her series of greeting cards featuring elaborate inappropriate behaviour from Barbie, Ken and the other iconic dolls of our youth.  Each one is done without photoshop, “just patience and a lot of handmade accessories.”  Above the fold I’ll feature a PG card, below there’ll be a PG-13 card, but I encourage you to check out the more explicit ones at her etsy shop.  Her …
