On Friday,  President-Elect Obama gave his first speech since winning the election and he focused on the issue to turned many independent voters in his direction- the economy. Obama made it clear that he is being kept in the loop by the Bush Administration while he formulates ways to hit the ground running immediately following his own inauguration. He used specifics without getting too wonky and injected small hints of humor that didn’t insult the gravity of the situation.
