It was announced this week that the recession is going to last longer and dip lower than was originally predicted. To say the economic climate is dire is like saying Bush had a small problem with human rights issues- a bit of an understatement.

I discovered Basketcase Comix through a link on Reddit. I went for the chess joke and stayed for the puns. The comic is created by Kelly Ferguson,  who also publishes political comics at Liberal Angst (which was wiped clean due to technical difficulties but is in the process of being restocked).

I’ve been poking around Reddit this morning (which you’ll figure out once you’ve seen the randomness of today’s posts). This one had me literally laughing out loud so hard I teared up. 
A 46 year old man from New South Wales (Australia) was parked in a no stopping zone and caught the attention of the police, who thought he had a weapon due to movements he was making around his lap.
