The word is out that Judge Gregg has accepted President Obama’s offer to serve as Commerce secretary. There are really few ways that this appointment makes sense. But how this plays out could indicate how the Obama administration- and the Democratic Party in general- are going to approach business this year.

I just want to celebrate (yeah, yeah) another day of linking…
No Dem 60: Gov. John Lynch (D-NH) has said he will nominate another Republican to replace Sen. Judd Gregg if the senator leaves to fill the Commerce secretary position. The Republicans obviously weren’t going to let Gregg leave unless such a deal was on the table. This will prevent the Democrats from reaching that filibuster proof 60. But unless Lynch appoints a Republican that is to the left of Gregg, there doesn’t seem to be much purpose in “promoting” him.

Indie Retailer of the Day: Ex-Boyfriend

Ex-Boyfriend has t shirts. Ex-Boyfriend has t-shirts that feature illustrations including robots, wounded candy, monkeys and logo spoofs. Robots, wounded candy, monkeys and logo spoofs are awesome. Therefore Ex-Boyfriend is awesome. The logic is flawless.
