Oh, Obama. This Gregg to Commerce thing had better start making sense soon or we’re going to have some words, Mr. President.

Judd Gregg, still a sitting senator, has announced he will recuse himself from congressional voting as he awaits his appointment. This voting includes the stimulus plan that Gregg has been a vocal opponent of. As Brian Beutler says, a non-vote in this situation is the same as a “no” vote:

Indie Retailer of the Day:  COGnitive Creations

Oh Steampunk, how you’ve obstentatiously grown. Anyway, I’m drawn in by anything that combines gears with shiny jewels, so its no surprise that COGnitive Creations caught my eye. Lots of whimsy, a strong personal aesthetic and an ability to edit down the extraneous details are all skills evidenced by this shop’s craftsperson. The prices seem to run the gamut, but they seem to be tied in pretty well with the quality of the materials involved.
