Indie Retailer of the Day: Slasher Film Mix Bag

I saw the new Friday the 13th over the weekend and thought it was decent enough. I’ve never been a huge fan of the series (but I have, admittedly, seen them all) so my expectations were pretty low. There were a couple of interesting updates to the film- one being an explanation for how Jason can seem to pop up in front of someone he’d been casually walking yards behind moments before. Shawn’s Mix Tape Resurrection

It’s been a while since a mix-tape has graced Moue Magazine’s pages. However, after doing a recent album review, I got in the writing-about-music mood. Plus, I never pass up an opportunity to share good music with others. Much like my last mix-tape, this collection of songs and artists show how many random genre’s of music I’m into. House Minority Whip Eric Cantor has been on a roll lately. He spoke out so strongly against the stimulus plan that a group of Democratic-leaning groups (including the union AFSCME) launched an attack ad against him. His spokesman responded by sendingĀ a profanity laden AFSCME “spoof” video to a reporter at Politico. Then Cantor confessed that he’s sought party rejuvenation advice from Newt “Epic Fail” Gingrich. Rounding out his trifecta, an article in Sunday’s Washington Post suggested that Cantor is studying up on (and comparing himself to) Winston Churchill and perhaps …

Japan’s Finance Minister Shoichi Nakagawa has resigned amid allegations that he was drunk during the G-7 conference. Nakagawa insists that he wasn’t, blaming his groggy appearance on a combination of jet lag and cold medication. But he said it would be “better for the country” if he quit.
