Michael Lewis has an article in Vanity Fair about the economic collapse of Iceland. The tone of the article is too heavy on the condescending, “I’m in a foreign land! Gee, these people are weird!” attitude for my liking but he does explain what the Icelandic people were doing before they rather spontaneously decided to turn to finance. I wasn’t surprised that they had been fishing but how they had been doing it is interesting:

Indie Retailer of the Day: Spa Luxuries

Spa Luxuries has adorable shea soaps with a pattern that’s embedded in the soap (and won’t wash off with use) and yummy scented spa soaps. They also sell bath products but when I pick a theme, I stick to it. And that theme was soap.

The Democratic Party is getting positively gleeful over the “Rush as GOP head” talking point that was handed to us on a silver platter. The DCCC website now has a Rush apology generator that visitors can use to apologize to the head honcho on behalf of various Republicans (three that have already apologized and, hilariously, Eric Cantor with the words (coming soon) next to him).

Proving that we’re not the party of Rush: 
Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) issued the following statement: “I’m sorry Limbaugh called for harsh sentences for drug addicts while he was a drug addict. I’m also sorry that he’s bent on seeing America fail. And I’m sorry that Limbaugh is one sorry excuse for a human being.”
