Michael Lewis has an article in Vanity Fair about the economic collapse of Iceland. The tone of the article is too heavy on the condescending, “I’m in a foreign land! Gee, these people are weird!” attitude for my liking but he does explain what the Icelandic people were doing before they rather spontaneously decided to turn to finance. I wasn’t surprised that they had been fishing but how they had been doing it is interesting:

The Democratic Party is getting positively gleeful over the “Rush as GOP head” talking point that was handed to us on a silver platter. Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) issued the following statement: “I’m sorry Limbaugh called for harsh sentences for drug addicts while he was a drug addict. I’m also sorry that he’s bent on seeing America fail. And I’m sorry that Limbaugh is one sorry excuse for a human being.”
