Unpacking The Kristol

One of the stronger arguments against the existence of a loving God is that Bill Kristol still has a job at the Washington Post. However, in light of his recent column on Obama not wanting to nuke the scary Iranian boogeyman right this exact minute, one can perhaps be forgiven for taking Kristol’s continued employment as strong evidence of a vengeful, wrathful God instead.

Bachmann: Still Stupid: Michele Bachmann has released a statement entitled “Bachmann Demands the Truth: Will Obama Administration Abandon Dollar for a Multi-National Currency?” because the crazy train doesn’t stop off at any reputable newsstands. Bachmann’s under the impression that a) the Chinese government suggested a global currency other than the dollar (they were actually referring to the reserve currency, something else entirely) b) Timothy Geithner supports this nonexistant policy (again, not the case) and c) foreign nation’s get to decide what America’s currency is (and vice versa). She’s also proposing legislation that would ensure the dollar remains America’s official currency even though no one is suggesting a change to that practice.
