Friday Night Fluff: Zombie Double Feature

We’ve all been hearing enough about the zombie banks. It is time to get the z-word back  into the bloodstained hands of the undead where it belongs. 

First up, is Zombies of Mass Destruction. This “political zomedy” revolves around a cast of characters that includes Frida, an Iranian-American who has just returned to her small hometown, and Tom, a Wall Street broker who has come home for a visit with his boyfriend in tow to come out to his mother. The trailer has me really excited about this one. The post 9/11 fear of terrorism (and those that may be stereotyped as terrorists) fits well into the genre. And if a zombie invasion were to break out, you can be sure there would be people like that gleeful preacher, welcoming everyone to the Armageddon.  

The second showing is for Night of the Living Dead: Reanimated, a film that will feature a collaboration of artists interpreting the classic Romero film (they’re still accepting artwork, deadline April 24th). There are two trailers out for it so far:
