I thought that the name of this show was “Afternoon Special” until I came across the intro on YouTube. I’m amazed I remember it at all, considering it began airing the year I was born and ended when I was six. The only thing I could remember about it was the mannequin coming to life after the store closed. Oddly, I did not recall that the doorman was a puppet.

Jane Hamsher has been covering the hell out of the House action around the war supplemental bill. There’s been a lot of action around that supplemental the past week– photo suppression out, “Cash for Clunkers” as a supposed seduction for progressives and Rahm Emanuel pushing hard because the White House needs the included IMF funding to go through.

I’m not uploading it here because it is quite wide and best seen in its natural environment, but the BBC has an excellent flow chart and accompanying information detailing how Iran is ruled. The chart is in honor of today’s elections and shows which positions are elected and unelected and who, like the Guardian Council, bridge the gap.
