I haven’t been working on my design projects the last few weekends so it slipped my mind to do a design resource roundup. But people seem to like these (and hopefully find them useful) so here are some grunge style Photoshop brushes. GIMP users can use these too- you just drop the files for the brushes in the “Brushes” folder in your GIMP directory. I’ve indicated how many brushes are included in each set and, when the information was provided, whether they can be used commercially.

My post title sucks a bit but I didn’t want to go for “Top 10″ or “10 Best” because the best tutorials are the ones that help you learn what you feel you need to know at the moment and are thus subjective. I have compiled 10 tutorials that leave you with some sort of finished project, whether it be a poster or a possible desktop image. My posting has continued to be sporadic over the past few weeks due in part to a busy real world schedule and Moue’s occasional refusal to allow me to log in. But I’m back and I bring with me the colorful vector packs I promised a few weeks ago.

Using photos as a reference point for your design in Illustrator can make the process easier but that doesn’t mean that all of the tutorials below are easy.
