Indie Retailer Review: The Bath Project

I was lucky enough to receive two products from The Bath Project to review: the Ice Cream Party Sugar Body Scrub and the Ice Cream Party Shea Stick. The two products share a similar scent that is described by the manufacturer as being vanilla ice cream mixed with sugar cone but reminded me more of vanilla cake with frosting (which isn’t a bad thing).

Indie Retailer of the Day: CopperLilly Botanicals

CopperLilly Botanicals sells sterling silver jewelry and soaps but the latter were so beautiful I decided to make them my focus. The ingredients of the soaps are top notch and the appearance worthy of display.

Indie Retailer of the Day: Spa Luxuries

Spa Luxuries has adorable shea soaps with a pattern that’s embedded in the soap (and won’t wash off with use) and yummy scented spa soaps. They also sell bath products but when I pick a theme, I stick to it. And that theme was soap.

To say that the political climate has gotten contentious is an understatement. If you need to wash away the battle scars come November 5, Stinky Bomb has some products that can help. They’re soaps made to resemble WWII grenades, mortars and German eggs.

Good Clean Fun sells magnets, stationary and baby clothing but their soaps are what caught my eye. And made my mouth water. That’s the problem with soaps that look exactly like delicious snack foods. Even as a reasonably intelligent adult, I would be really tempted to try and taste them- knowing full well that they’re just going to taste like soap. But they look so yummy!
The soaps are also vegan and hypoallergenic (and look yummy).

Soap That Makes Scents features handmade soaps and lip balms “Kreated by Karina” using essential oils or high quality fragrance oils to scent the luxurious products. The soaps are free of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) or Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), which are often used in commercial soaps as “lathering agents” but are also skin irritants. If you’re having a hard time deciding on a scent, try one of the sample packs that allows you to choose a set number of scents in 1.5 oz. size. A 5 piece sampler set …

I’m a sucker for interesting product packaging. I like moisturizers. I read Fangoria. Thus, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I like Pretty Monsters, a bath and body products company with the tagline, “Luxury Skin Care to Tame Mutation”. The ingredients used in these products are far from horrifying. Store owner McKenzie favors all natural, body healing substances that pack a pretty smell as well.

Killer Cupcake All Natural Mango Butter Skin Balm, 1/2 oz for $5.00 (does really smell like cupcakes, will not really bite)
