I don’t use coasters due to the fact that the tables that I have that don’t have glass tops (which are few) aren’t of a quality that needs to be preserved. But I do like coasters in theory, having enjoyed plenty of the little drink companions in restaurants and the apartments of better furnished friends. And the coasters from Little Coaster Gnome are so cute I may buy a set and pop them in a frame as an art piece.

 
Yes, I am dedicated an entire post to coasters. No, I am not obsessively neat. I have actually never owned tables that were worthy of protection (the last coffee table had the initials of my roommate’s brother carved into the side) but since nearly every store that sells home goods has coasters, I assume there is a market.
