I saw the new Friday the 13th over the weekend and thought it was decent enough. I’ve never been a huge fan of the series (but I have, admittedly, seen them all) so my expectations were pretty low. There were a couple of interesting updates to the film- one being an explanation for how Jason can seem to pop up in front of someone he’d been casually walking yards behind moments before. Halloween’s on a Friday this year, meaning there are even more opportunities to get drunk off of Pumpkin Spice Martinis and hit on people when you don’t even know what they look like.  Luckily, MSN has put together guides to Guys and Gals costumes so you’ll know how to best approach someone.  Unfortunately, it doesn’t offer a lot of different ideas, so my husband will never know what my slutty Abraham Lincoln costume says about me.

Halloween is still over two weeks away but shipping times vary, making now the perfect time to do a Mix Bag inspired by All Hallows Eve. I chose to go the route of subtle holiday nod rather than gaudy spectacular with the products below. All can be used/worn after October 31 without it seeming like an anachronism.
